The Republican political consultant sent out Tweets during a filibuster of legislation dealing with worker’s compensation. The source of Harris’ ire was Sen. Kevin Engler, R-Farmington:
No one should be surprised that Kevin #Engler joined MATA and is filibustering against workers comp reform (SB8). He loves MATA $$$.
He also sent out this Tweet as well:
I love you @tonymess but #Engler always sides w/ labor and MATA against Missouri jobs.
And this one too:
@mskstl Who needs democrat lawmakers when you have Sen. Kevin #Engler working against job creators and for liberal groups like #MATA.
As @tonymess noted, Engler didn’t take the Tweets very well.
At the end of the session, Engler inquired Sen. Brian Nieves - a lawmaker with a history of animosity against Harris. The audio of the exchange is above.
